I am painting cabinets with a mix of copper and gold metallic and woody yellow & leather red for a woodgrain. I've done all my prep in the normal way, but the tape is pulling off the paint! Is the metallic making the paint bond weaker?

Now what do I do?

How did you prep the cabinets? That may be your problem, not the actual paint.
