Most Valued Painter Program Guide and RulesAbout the Program The MVP program is a rewards program for students of The Finishing School. Participants in the program can earn valuable points with the purchase of materials, books and other decorative art supplies, which can be redeemed for discounts on selected classes and special events. Enrollment Enrollment in the program is open to students who have taken a class at any of The Finishing School locations. An interested student needs to fill out a membership form, which updates our files on their address, phone numbers, e-mail, credit card, signature for file, and signature of notification of membership rules, etc. Point Structure and Earning Points Points will be awarded with the purchase of decorative art materials, books, and sundries sold by The Finishing School, Inc. or The Finishing Source, Inc. (Taxes, shipping, and tuition do not apply.) Each item will have an approximate point value of 5% of the retail cost of the item, for example: an item that retails for $24.50 will have a point value of 1.25. These points will accumulate with every purchase. When a student accumulates 100 points (purchases $2,000.00 in materials and supplies), he or she will receive a $100.00 credit to his or her house account. This $100.00 credit can be redeemed in a specified manner for classes taught by The Finishing School. Credits for other specified amounts may be redeemed for special events to be announced with the dates of said events. Redemption of Points Points can only be redeemed in 100 point increments on classes taught by The Finishing School . The classes on which these points can be redeemed will be limited to those classes specified by The Finishing School. The total number of points redeemable per class is determined by The Finishing School, and can be adjusted at its discretion with proper notification. Points cannot be used in conjunction with other special offers from The Finishing School. To redeem points toward a specified class, the member agrees to register and issue a deposit two weeks in advance of course dates. Points will not be accepted as deposits on any class. The initial redemption structure will be as follows. For each day a specified class is held, a student can redeem 100 points to receive a $100.00 discount for the class. The maximum amount redeemable per specified class is as follows: a one day class - 100 points, a two day class - 200 points, a three day class - 300 points, a four day class - 400 points, a five day class - 500 points. Redemption of points will occur on the first day of class. At this time, a form requiring the member's signature will be completed. This form will indicate the number of points deducted from a member's account. Points may not be transferred among members. The following is an example of how point redemption works. When a student enrolled in the MVP program buys $2,000.00 in materials and supplies, he or she will receive 100 points. When the student signs up for a class such as "Distressing and Aging," he or she can elect to receive a $100.00 discount and their points will be deducted on the first day of class. As a result, the student will pay $895.00 instead of $995.00 for the class, and the process will begin again. Notification of General Return Policy Unopened material can be returned within 30 days of purchase at no charge. Upon receipt of materials the individual will receive a credit to his house account for the amount of the material returned. Between 30 and 60 days of the purchase, materials can be returned with a 20% restocking fee. An individual's house account will be credited for 80% of the cost of materials purchased upon receipt of the materials.
Return Policy and MVP Points Whenever a material is returned, the total point value for that material will be deducted from the accumulated points in the MVP account. When materials are returned between 30 and 60 days the total points associated with that material will be deducted from the accumulated points in the MVP account and no credit will be given for the 20% restocking fee. If materials are returned after the points have been redeemed for a class and before an equal monetary value of materials have been purchased, then the student is held legally responsible for the full repayment of the discount taken on that class and the loss of those points. Any manipulation of purchases and returns to take advantage of the discounts for classes violates the intent to the MVP program, and The Finishing School Inc. and The Finishing Source, Inc. reserve the right to revoke or adjust any member's MVP account without the consent of the member and with proper written notification. Incentives At any time and with proper notification, The Finishing School can elect to offer incentives to accumulate bonus points such as extra points on specific products or at specific times. Incentives are offered at the discretion of The Finishing School. Notice Concerning MVP Program Changes and Termination The Finishing School, Inc. and The Finishing Source, Inc. reserve the right to change program benefits and rules at any time without notice. The Finishing School, Inc. and The Finishing Source, Inc. reserve the right to terminate the Most Valued Painter program with six months' notice. Unless otherwise stated, the terms and conditions of the program's current Program Guide and Rules govern the program and any benefit associated with the program. |
